Johnny Depp has made a striking confession. About his life as a teenager... A life decision that was going to change him completely, and no, it was not the movies. At the age of 15 he decided to leave his studies to focus on... music!

His band, The Kids, once performed as an opening act for Iggy Pop. In fact, his idea was clear. His goal was music. He wanted to make it as a rocker with his band. But the reunion with a childhood friend who worked as a film make-up artist and whom he eventually married was instrumental in his future, as it put him in contact with the film industry.

He also had a good godfather to abandon the idea of music and focus on film. His friend  Nicolas Cage did the rest, and recommended him to his agent with him was forged his debut on the big screen in 1984, with a small role in 'Nightmare on Elm Street'.

Last January 28 a documentary about  Depp was released on the ARTE channel on Movistar Plus. And they define him as an actor who has never had an ordinary career, but has been a rara avis of Hollywood.

In it, we see how the work explains  Depp's personality through his characters and it reflects on whether they are a reflection of his identity. He has often felt identified with them.
