"America's Got Talent" Season 12 winner and Oklahoma City entertainer Darci Lynne Farmer was featured on the star-studded list of performers on Wednesday's live "Christmas in Rockefeller Center" telecast on NBC.
As previously reported, Darci Lynne joined a lineup including Pentatonix (which includes former University of Oklahoma student Kirstin Maldonado), Diana Ross, Tony Bennett & Diana Krall, Brett Eldredge, John Legend, Martina McBride, Kellie Pickler, Ella Mai, the New York City Ballet's production of "George Balanchine's The Nutcracker," Rob Thomas and the Radio City Rockettes.
Joined by her puppet pal Petunia, the teenage singer/ventriloquist performed the Christmas classic "Jingle Bell Rock."
As previously reported, the Oklahoma native's busy holiday season will be highlighted by her first original TV special, "Darci Lynne: My Hometown Christmas," airing at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11.
For viewers of all ages, the special will celebrate family togetherness at the holidays, according to a news release from NBC, which has revealed some of the details about the holiday special.
The one-hour telecast will feature musical performances and sketches from the talented young performer, along with her lively puppets. There are also several feature performances from such notable guests as multi-award-winning actress/singer and fellow Oklahoma native Kristin Chenoweth, country singer-songwriter and fellow Oklahoma resident Toby Keith, country music superstar Hunter Hayes, three-time Grammy Award-winning and multi-platinum selling artist Pentatonix (which includes former University of Oklahoma student Kirstin Maldonado) and two-time Billboard Music Award-winning electronic violinist Lindsey Stirling.
Pentatonix just kicked off their "Christmas Is Here!" tour, in support of their new album by the same name, which is available now. Stirling kicked off her national "Wanderland Holiday Tour" on Nov. 23 -as previously reported, it's coming to Oklahoma City Saturday - and the deluxe edition of her No. 1 best-selling holiday album, "Warmer in the Winter," is out now.
The special also will also include surprise guest appearances from "America's Got Talent" judges Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum and Mel B.
Performances with Pentatonix and Stirling – as well as puppets Petunia, Oscar, Edna and Katie – will feature many familiar holiday tunes such as "Santa Baby,""Mary Did You Know" and "Santa Claus Is Coming to Town." Hayes will debut his new song, "This Christmas." Ricky Minor, who served as musical director on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" from 2010-14, will lead the house band on the special and Lonnie Chavis, from NBC's "This Is Us,"stops by for a holiday gift exchange.
Farmer will bring viewers home for the holidays to show off all of Oklahoma's beauty and warmth. The Emmy and Tony Award-winning Chenoweth will perform "What a Wonderful World."In addition, Farmer will perform with Keith as the two make a stop at the Toby Keith Foundation's OK Kids Korral, an Oklahoma City home-away-from home for children battling cancer.

Farmer gained national attention when she won NBC's hit series "America's Got Talent” in 2017. She captivated audiences with her incredible performances alongside puppets Oscar and Petunia, earning the most votes ever for a winning act. Farmer's national tour has played in over 50 markets this past year to sell-out crowds, including at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. Farmer also marked an important milestone with her stage debut at the Grand Ole Opry.
