Nvidia's CEO Jensen Huang stated in a podcast hosted by Arm's CEO Rene Haas that future AI will have the ability to "reason," but first, we must reduce computation costs.
Huang explained that the next generation of tools will be able to respond to hundreds or thousands of steps to arrive at conclusions, enabling future software to possess reasoning capabilities, unlike current systems such as OpenAI's ChatGPT. He shared that he uses ChatGPT daily.

To reach this advancement, Nvidia plans to upgrade chip performance two to three times a year while maintaining the same costs and energy consumption. This upgrade will transform the way AI systems handle reasoning, allowing them to identify patterns and draw conclusions.
He also mentioned, "We can significantly lower the operational costs for AI, and we all understand how valuable that is. If we can significantly reduce costs, we can enable deeper reasoning during inference."
Nvidia currently holds over 90% of the market share in the AI accelerator chip market and is also involved in selling computers, software, AI models, and networking services, aiming to encourage more businesses to adopt AI technology.
